The rectangular miniature painted on board depicts a country gentleman in profile wearing a brown jacket with brass buttons and a white shirt and white cravat. His hair recedes in the front and is curly. He wears long side burns to below his ears.
The portrait is painted within a darker oval with olive green to the outer edge. The portrait is in a wood frame.
