In the form of a Commander’s badge in 18 carat gold, the cross patonce set with sapphires, suspended from a ladies bow set with a single cut diamond, the centre encircled with rubies. Marked ‘750’ for 750 parts per 1000 by weight (the equivalent of the old 18 carat gold standard).
