A superb large Antique Silver George III Salver made in London in 1808 by Peter and William Bateman. This very fine salver in excellent condition is circular with a gadroon border and is very finely engraved with the coat of arms of The 4th Earl of Darnley (Baron Clifton, 1767-1831). The salver stands on conforming feet. A wonderful George III salver by the famous Bateman family. The Darnley Earls resided at Cobham Hall in Gravesend, Kent.
