Impressive and elegant George II set of twelve foliate Rococo silver teaspoons with a decorative back.
Maker's mark only: Francis Harache. Circa 1740.
FH crowned, incuse, is not shown by Grimwade but is almost certainly the mark which Harache would have entered in the now missing 1739-1758 Smallworkers' Register
The reverse of the stem is engraved with a contemporary family crest of a deer's head and neck facing right on a plain circular cartouche.
The finial of the front of the stem is foliate and the rim of the elongated oval bowls is defined by an undulating edge.
These spoons are quite lovely and would make an excellent gift.
