English delftware polychrome plate sun image mid 18th century.
Dated: 1750 London or Bristol England.
An unusual and charmingly decorated English pottery polychrome delftware plate. The centre is decorated with a stylised image of the sun the border with an elaborate arcaded border in maroon, green and blue. The plate was made at the Bristol or London delftworks in the mid 18th century.
Diameter: 8.5 inches.
Current Condition: Chipped area at rim professionally restored.
